Farmers (not all farmers though) over the years are able to gather data (often not documented) to be able to guess the yields of their crops. This is done over a longer period by farmers with long-term experience.
How about the new farmer or prospective one?
Relatively new, they may need information to help them make decisions in their cropping investments.
Therefore, for the purposes of better planning and projections, a well documented and accessible data is very relevant for the farmer to have an idea of the yield of the crop he/she wants to grow.
The data provides yield averages of all major crops grown in the country.
